Influential shoegaze pioneers, Failure return after five years with their seventh studio album, Location Lost (Failure Records/Arduous/Virgin). Comprising nine tracks, the album showcases a modern, focused vision of their alternative space-rock sound, driven by Ken Andrews’ hypnotic vocals. Hayley Williams’ appearance on the standout track “The Rising Skyline” underscores Failure’s lasting influence on an entire generation of artists. Following the acclaimed documentary Every Time You Lose Your Mind (2025), the album cements their legacy and confirms their role in the emergence of modern shoegaze. After notable appearances at Welcome to Rockville and Sick New World, as well as a headlining slot at Space Echo Fest in Chicago, Failure are shaping up to be a must-see for indie rock fans, including in Europe.
