The Swedish classic black metal band TROLLDOM was founded in 2004 in Södermanland by guitarist and composer Swartadauþuz (BEKËTH NEXËHMÜ, MUVITIUM, AZELISASSATH, GREVE, BALWEZO WESTIJIZ). After the release of their two long-awaited first albums in 2022, I Nattens Sken (Genom Hemligheternas Dunkel) and Av Gudars Ätt..., the new album Tronen (‘The Throne’) continues TROLLDOM’s quest to “free the spirit from the false bonds of material existence” through a symphonic and reverent black metal force. Expressing a deep veneration for second-wave black metal, TROLLDOM delivers a powerful barrage of dark and addictive melody, steeped in the aura of 1995 to 1998, the period when the Swedish sound was codified and bands like SETHERIAL, NAGLFAR, SACRAMENTUM and MÖRK GRYNING chained together masterful tracks. Propelled by the driving drumming of K. Paradis (BELPHEGOR, MELECHESH), Tronen uses anthemic riffs, evocative vocals, captivating progressions and the majestic keyboard touches of Alex Poole/Graf Nuzawandils (MARTRÖÐ, SKÁPHE) to unite the elements of Swartadauþuz’s hyper-productive underworld realm in its most resolute and catchy form to date. ||For fans of AARA, SPECTRAL WOUND, SETHERIAL, SACRAMENTUM.
