On Passing Fires, the follow-up to The Weather Up There, drummer and composer Jeremy Cunningham, joined by a close circle of collaborators, transforms intimate piano sketches, family-room recordings, and richly layered studio performances into a living meditation on memory, love, and change. Vibrant, moving, and full of unexpected turns, the album moves between hypnotic grooves, psychedelic textures, and tender poetic ballads, balancing home warmth with striking sonic detail.
