With only two albums to their credit, Slow Pulp has established itself as one of the emblematic bands of a generation nurtured on the alternative rock of the 1990s and shaped by the indie wave of the 2000s. Their new album, Melodie, expected on September 18, was produced by Elliott Kozel and co-written by band members Emily Massey and Henry Stoehr.
Melodie marks an evolution beyond the band's shoegaze roots, exploring new sonic territories with pop influences and more direct melodies. It follows their critically acclaimed second album, Yard.
After opening for Lucy Dacus, Death Cab for Cutie, and The Postal Service, the band is set to give its biggest concert in its hometown at the Salt Shed, as well as perform in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Diego this fall.
