At just 24 years old, TeddyBear unveils LE PLUS BEAU, a powerful and deeply human debut album, which he describes as “the result of twenty-four years of life in the head of a guy who struggles with his time.” Originally from Mons, Belgium, and from a family of Sicilian musicians, TeddyBear grew up behind a drum kit before finding a new means of expression in writing and then in singing. Very quickly, his distinctive voice and heartfelt delivery won people over: Orelsan, Clara Luciani, Feu! Chatterton and Julien Doré invited him to open for them. Recorded in part at the legendary ICP studios in Brussels, LE PLUS BEAU was shaped alongside Nicolas Subréchicot (Zaho de Sagazan), Paco Del Rosso (Damso, Camille Yembe) and Tristan Salvati (Angèle, Miki). Blending French chanson, contemporary pop and rap influences, TeddyBear brings piano, strings, winds and drums into dialogue with electronic textures. From Jacques Brel to Yussef Dayes, from Alpha Wann to Salvatore Adamo, his influences feed a music that refuses to fit into boxes. After the singles “Tout Va Bien” and “CHAUSSURES ROSES”, LE PLUS BEAU reveals an artist who turns his doubts, fears, family stories and his view of his era into songs that are as sensitive as they are unifying. A debut album without posturing, carried by a moving voice and raw songwriting: that of a boy who doubts, cries, loves and perhaps feels everything a little too intensely.
