FIRTAN’s new album, Helios, traces the brutal path toward enlightenment. Not as an escape, but as a conquest. Taking its name from the sun, the album explores what it means to become the best version of oneself, the strongest and most lucid, in a world designed for distraction and decay. Fusing the raw and atmospheric ferocity of black metal with the crushing power of death metal, Helios reflects the album’s central theme: clarity forged through trial. Evocative acoustic and electric violin melodies intertwine throughout the compositions, creating tension and complexity through their melancholic and experimental sounds. This highlights the band’s intricate riffs and unexpected musical shifts. The integration of acoustic instruments, ritual chants, and analog synthesizers adds depth and atmosphere to the album.
