Annihilist, the third album by the Belgian band Hippotraktor, marks a new stage in the band’s evolution. Between crushing power, cinematic atmospheres, and refined melodies, the quintet delivers an ambitious work that once again pushes the boundaries of its progressive post-metal universe. More collaborative and experimental than its predecessors, Annihilist explores existential themes through an intense journey, blending rage, melancholy, and a search for redemption, while preserving the unique balance between technicality and emotion that defines the band’s signature.
