Declan McKenna is only 21, but he is already the new wave of English pop, taking up the torch from the great Britpop songwriters. With his 2nd album Zeros, surrounded by a talented band, Declan McKenna belongs to a minority of artists who see the damage caused to his generation by the policies of those currently in power. As early as 2015, at 16, he made a name for himself with an informed and curious audience with committed pop songs such as 'Brazil', 'Paracetamol' & 'Isombard', standing out from the languid or saccharine repertoire of some young singer-songwriters.
