The team of Au fil des flots is back in action for this album devoted to the world of the farm. Forgotten nursery rhymes, unpublished and humorous contemporary songs, songs by songwriters (Henri Dès, Julos Beaucarne.), little rhymes from children’s folklore. Here brought together by Yves Prual, 32 nursery rhymes about barnyard animals. A lively and very original mix that should delight the whole family! The traditional repertoire gets a fresh new look thanks to François Barré’s bold and offbeat arrangements. With accordion, double bass, guitar and percussion, the album blends adult voices and fresh children’s voices, all punctuated by animal sounds, produced by the performers themselves! A varied album where vocal polyphonies, a cappella songs (La chanson du bouvier), call-and-response songs and solos alternate. Sylvain Girault, in particular, surprises and amuses with his “local” accent, while Marguerite Lorenzi, a lyric singer, charms with her interpretation of Deci-delà, cahin caha.
