At the dawn of a world tour that is set to pass through France, the sublime trio of Chick Corea, along with his companions Christian McBride on double bass and Brian Blade on drums, treats us to a new album recorded once again live. This time, the trio completes the journey that began five years ago with a triple album, on 2 CDs. Chick Corea once again opens up his impressive songbook, where the sixties covers from his solo albums flirt with reinterpretations of the classics from Return To Forever's ECM period. It was in 2016 that our three virtuosos joined forces to give birth to this Trilogy 2, enriched by their shared experiences within the pianist's quintet. At 78 years old, the fiery pianist who honed his skills with Stan Getz and Miles Davis returns to his first love of the piano trio, reminiscent of another of his heroes, Bud Powell. Dazzling from start to finish!
