It is difficult to assign an age to chest.’s music, so much does it seem to be in constant motion, a blend of spontaneous energy and timeless electricity. The band did not choose this name by chance: for years, its members have breathed music through every pore of their bodies, having come together in the darkness and vibrations of Supersonic, the beating heart of independent music in Paris, where they met and all worked. Before even releasing a single record, chest. was spotted by NME, which ranked them among the 100 acts to watch in 2025. A first EP in February 2025, All Good Things End (Howlin Banana), further boosted the band’s credibility and international appeal at great speed. chest. has opened for DITZ, Jehnny Beth, Heavy Lungs and KNIVES, who have welcomed them with open arms into a thriving Anglo-Saxon scene. They have been seen at La Maroquinerie, Rock en Seine, ESNS and in Great Britain. chest. comes of age without taking the time for adolescence. Every concert creates a snowball effect. The band is a live revelation. In autumn 2025, chest. begins recording its first album at La Frette studio, known for having hosted sessions by Nick Cave and Arctic Monkeys. The band, with a three-sound-engineer lineup, self-produces there and opens itself up to new inspirations without renouncing the powerful, melodic noise rock of its beginnings. The work on the sound becomes more complex and even more personal, revealing perfectly digested industrial, techno and shoegaze influences. chest. embodies the future flagship of a French rock scene that is no longer afraid of anything. A band capable of bringing people together without lowering its eyes or its artistic standards.
