Who are these four men surrounding Céline Dion? Jean-Jacques Goldman, of course, accompanied by Erick Benzi, Gildas Arzel, and Jacques Vénéruso, all three talented and famous songwriters who have been involved in Goldman's projects for many years. This is a group album, like Frédéricks Goldman Jones in its time, where the guys support Céline Dion, who remains the leader, of course. Here, the focus has been on the acoustic, guitar-driven, and of course vocal aspects. The band shows a beautiful complementarity, between Erick Benzi, an exceptional arranger, and Gildas Arzel, an excellent guitarist. The first single from the album, Tout l'or des hommes, is indeed a beautiful chemistry. Recorded in the United States (hence the music video was filmed in the Nevada desert) between two shows in Las Vegas, "1 fille et 4 types" alternates blues (Ne bouge pas.), intimate songs (Je t'aime encore.), and pop (Apprends-moi.) beautifully.
