Borknagar, the pioneers and innovators of avant-garde Norwegian Black Metal, present themselves at their best and shine once again with their 11th studio album, "True North". Subtle and cohesive, True North represents the perfect synergy between Prog Metal and Black Metal, and one can only be carried away by the finesse of the songwriting and arrangements that Borknagar once again displays. The band’s aesthetic remains decidedly unique, whether it be Black Metal - from which it originates, Prog, psychedelic music, baroque and more.
