From their first album, Axe establishes an identity where melodic hard rock, AOR, and powerful guitars balance with a true sense of vocal harmonies. Led by guitarist Bobby Barth, the Florida band presents compositions that alternate catchy choruses, more progressive passages, and particularly polished arrangements, already hinting at the style that would bring them success in the early 1980s. This remastered reissue by Rock Candy comes with a sixteen-page booklet featuring an unpublished essay, rare photographs, and new interviews with the band members.
