As the title suggests, just press the play button to get the party started. Of all Aerosmith's albums, "Just Push Play" is undoubtedly the one that benefits from the most polished and ambitious production. It's no coincidence that most of the new songs are co-written by Steve Tyler, Joe Perry, Marti Frederiksen, and Mark Hudson, the latter two being responsible for the production of the project.
As a result, a stunning and overwhelming record, brimming with brass and string arrangements, merging hip-hop phrasing, metallic rhythms, riffs, and psychedelic harmonies, culminating with the sound of acoustic guitars in a Beach Boys-style finale.
At the height of their art, the old pros of Aerosmith are not done surprising.
