ActeSix presents, across three discs, the history of the Music Forbidden by the German Third Reich (1933-1945) because they were considered “degenerate.” As tragic witnesses to the Nazi dictatorship, these pieces of music fell into oblivion, along with their composers: exiled, deported, murdered, they are brought together here, in a fragment of the immense Atlantis of this chapter of musical history.
