Remastered reissue of the 9th album released in 1993 during the band’s first reunion with Udo on vocals. After conquering the rock world with their Teutonic heavy metal of the 1980s, notably thanks to “Balls To The Wall” (1983) and “Metal Heart” (1985), Accept parted ways with their original singer and leader, Udo Dirkschneider, after the release of “Russian Roulette” in 1986. Despite a solid sound and commercial success, “EatThe Heat” (1989), with David Reece on vocals, did not meet Accept fans’ expectations, while their former singer moved toward a more metal style with his eponymous project U.D.O. The release of “Staying A Life”, an archival live recording from 1985 with their former singer, made a reunion inevitable. With Udo Dirkschneider on vocals, Wolf Hoffmann on guitar, Peter Baltes on bass and Stefan Kaufmann on drums, “Objection Overruled” (1993) marks a strong comeback for these legends of German metal. The album includes 11 tracks, including the singles “I Don't Wanna Be Like You”, “All or Nothing” and the very explicit “Slaves To Metal”, written and produced by the band in collaboration with Deaffy, their longtime collaborator. With an expanded cover and liner notes by Malcolm Dome, based on new interviews with the band, “Objection Overruled” is a fine addition to Accept’s HNE catalog. Also available are “Balls To The Wall” (HNECD018D), “Metal Heart” (HNECD022), “Russian Roulette” (HNECD029) and “Eat The Heat” (HNECD030), all with bonus tracks. The double live album “ALL AREAS - WORLDWIDE LIVE” (HNECD040D) is also available.
