About
Stiff Little Fingers, Northern Irish punk from Belfast since 1977, raw and melodic.
Formed in Belfast in 1977, Stiff Little Fingers became a key figure in punk rock with their politically charged lyrics and energetic sound. Their debut album, 'Inflammable Material' (1979), issued on Rough Trade, is notable for its direct and confrontational approach to social issues affecting youth at the time.
Over the decades, the band expanded their sound towards a more melodic punk rock style while maintaining a consistent political edge. Vinyl collectors will find several live albums such as 'Best Served Loud - Live At Barrowland' (2014) and 'BBC Live In Concert' (2022) documenting the band’s powerful performances. Original UK pressings of the debut remain collectible, with prices varying based on edition and condition.
