Phantom

Description

The Norwegian black metal band Khold was formed in Oslo in 2000 by Gard & Sarke (also known under his own name, alongside Darkthrone's Nocturno Culto). Khold rose from the ashes of the cult band Tulus. Khold has recorded 6 albums to date, and has successfully toured with bands such as Satyricon and Behemoth in the past. Khold is also known for its use of Old Norse for its song titles and lyrics. *Phantom* is Khold's second album, released in 2002 on Moonfog Productions, just one year after their debut album *Masterpiss of Pain*. The tracks on offer are once again an excellent concoction of mid-tempo, often groove-laden black metal, with old-school riffs and a significant bass presence that helps drive the tracks forward. Khold quickly established itself in the black metal world as a serious force in this new wave of Norwegian bands.
