Spiritual Cramp

Punk and Hardcore are iconic genres of musical rebellion, characterized by their raw energy, fast tempos, and often politically charged lyrics. These styles are rooted in protest and authenticity, offering direct and powerful sounds.
On Vinyles.com, you'll find comprehensive access to Punk and Hardcore vinyls marketed for fans of these intense movements.
Punk vinyl goes back to the genre's DIY roots. In the late '70s, pressing a 7-inch single was cheap, and hundreds of bands put out their own records with handmade sleeves and labels run by friends. American hardcore in the '80s took that idea further, with independent labels controlling everything from pressing to distribution. Today, most punk and hardcore bands still release their albums on vinyl, often in several colors.
This page gathers the punk and hardcore records listed on Vinyles.com, from the 1977 pioneers to current bands like The Linda Lindas, Mannequin Pussy and Touché Amoré. For each record, you can compare offers from several partner stores.
A handful of labels shaped the genre. SST Records released Black Flag, Dischord Records, co-founded by Ian MacKaye, documented Minor Threat and the Washington, D.C. scene, and Alternative Tentacles was started by Dead Kennedys' Jello Biafra and East Bay Ray. In the '90s, Epitaph, founded by Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz, and Fat Wreck Chords, run by NOFX's Fat Mike, powered the melodic punk boom with Bad Religion, Pennywise, Millencolin and Rancid. Hellcat, launched by Tim Armstrong, became home to Dropkick Murphys and The Interrupters. These labels reissue their catalogs regularly, often as limited color pressings whose prices can differ a lot from one store to the next.
The foundations: the Ramones' self-titled debut (1976), the Sex Pistols' "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" (1977) and The Clash's "London Calling" (1979). American hardcore followed with Dead Kennedys' "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables" (1980), Black Flag's "Damaged" (1981) and the Minor Threat records. The '90s pushed punk back into the mainstream with Green Day's "Dookie" (1994), The Offspring's "Smash" (1994) and Rancid's "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995). In 1998, Refused's "The Shape of Punk to Come" opened hardcore up to new sounds. Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio, Thrice and The Hives carried the story into the 2000s.
The punk and hardcore label covers original punk rock, hardcore and its straight edge wing, skate punk and California melodic punk, pop punk, post-hardcore and the Celtic punk of Dropkick Murphys. French-language punk has its own dedicated collection alongside this one. The artist links above gather each band's records, so you can check which limited colored pressings are still offered.
