About

18 vinyl releases spanning classical, ambient, and film scores; originals from €10 to €46 tracked live.

Yann Tiersen has charted an eclectic path in contemporary music, beginning with classical studies in violin, piano and conducting. Based in Rennes for his early career, he transitioned to rock and alternative scenes during the 1980s while composing for theater and film. His 1995 debut album "La Valse des Monstres" compiled early cinematic and theatrical work, followed by successive albums blending folk, ambient, and avant-garde influences. Tiersen's work features collaborations with diverse artists and exploration across folk francophone, alternative, minimalism, and soundtrack compositions.
