About

12 vinyls from debut 1991 LP to 2024’s Triptyque; original pressings and colored vinyl tracked live.

MC Solaar, real name Claude M'Barali, stands as a major pioneer of rap in France. After early appearances on Radio Nova, his debut album from 1991 introduced sophisticated lyricism with tracks like "Bouge De Là" and "Caroline." Throughout the 90s and 2000s, his style evolved through jazzy hip hop and conscious rap, releasing albums under labels such as Polydor and Play Two. His vinyl catalog counts special editions, promo pressings, reissues, and newly issued colored vinyls with a range of formats including LP and 12" 45 RPM.

Recent work includes the 2024 album "Triptyque," available on transparent colored vinyl, highlighting a continuing presence in the French rap scene nearly three decades post debut.
