After starting his career alongside the great Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers, Wayne Shorter went on to join what would become one of the greatest quintets in Miles Davis' legendary career. It was alongside the master, in the early 1960s, that the saxophonist established himself as a must-have in the genre.
