After recording three demos and a split album with four like-minded acts, the quartet released their debut album "Handed to Execution", which was followed a year later by the EP "Transylvanian Nightmare". While both were well received by critics and fans alike, Phantom have now gone one better with their second album "Tyrants of Wrath". The new record is a tour de force through the cherished traditions of the genre - think Razor, Dark Angel, Merciless, Living Death and of course Slayer as references - and puts a fresh spin on them, be it in the form of 'Nimbus', an homage to Phantom's influences from cult bands like Manilla Road, Gotham City and Heavy Load, or in terms of the adventurous structure of 'Nazguhl', one of many forays into the unconventional that surprisingly don't compromise the Mexicans' extreme metal. "Tyrants of Wrath" was recorded and mixed by the band and Héctor Northen at Nehtron Studios in Mexico. The mastering was done by Patrick Engel at Temple of Disharmony in Germany. Phantom will be touring Europe with Brazil's Evilcult in September/October 2025.
