Description

Since Taylor Nordberg and Jeramie Kling chose the title of the 1992 Massacre EP “Inhuman Condition” as the name for their new band after leaving the death metal flagship in 2020, it seems plausible that they have stuck to this tried-and-tested old-school sound over the last five years. However, the third Inhuman Condition album “Mind Trap” is more than just Massacre 2.0 and marks a step up on all levels. The fact that the original trio, rounded out by veteran bassist Terry Butler (also a member of Massacre at various times), never set goals for themselves when working on new material has proven to be a boon: “We feel like we've found our identity and are finally over the Massacre connection,” says Nordberg. “Nothing was rushed in the writing, recording, mixing and so on. This album is characterized by a certain comfort, but still has that hard-hitting edge.” According to the guitarist, the songs on “Mind Trap” are a “commentary on the world we live in”. “Some of my lyrics deal with the crushing influence of technology on our species. The record has everything - blood, guts, serial killers, sci-fi horror, bad people.” The band produced the album entirely in their own studio, and the result is more than worth listening to.“Mind Trap” comes with another captivating artwork by Dan Goldsworthy (Accept, Alestorm) and is a testament to the special chemistry of the prolific duo behind Inhuman Condition.Available as: - Slipcase CD- Black Vinyl, Limited 400, 425gsm heavy cardboard cover, insert, download code- Transparent Piss Yellow Vinyl, Limited 500, 425gsm heavy cardboard cover, insert, download code1.
