Wolfgang Haffner is back with his new album "Silent World"! It's been barely two years since everything suddenly went quiet and we found ourselves in a "silent world." For Wolfgang Haffner, the most prominent German drummer of our time, the halt was particularly abrupt, especially given his busy schedule and usual work pace. He typically travels across five continents, playing with leading artists in all genres, and his exceptional drumming talent can be heard on no less than 400 albums. But fortunately, Haffner has always considered himself a composer at least as much as a drummer. It was therefore quite natural for him to dedicate himself to writing music. And, for once, he didn't have to squeeze it in between other commitments, but could devote himself to it with focus. "In the normal course of things, everything I do comes with a built-in sense of urgency to get it done and over with. But now, I have to rely on my own resources, and without any background noise to distract me, I was able to ask myself what I really wanted to do. What my personal imprint looks like." It makes sense, then, that the album that resulted from this unique period should be called "Silent World."
