The Wailing Souls (literally "the sobbing souls") is a Jamaican reggae group consisting of Winston 'Pipe' Matthews, Lloyd 'Bread' McDonald, George 'Buddy' Haye and Rudolph 'Garth' Dennis, formed in the mid-1960s. Often compared to Bob Marley, Pipe Matthews' voice has made this 8-time Grammy-nominated group one of the most recognized in roots reggae.
