Dancehall originated in the late 1970s in Jamaica, as a more direct and impactful evolution of reggae. With its fast rhythms, powerful basslines, and energetic vocals, it quickly conquered Kingston's sound systems and dance floors before spreading worldwide.

Iconic figures like Yellowman, Shabba Ranks, and Buju Banton shaped its early days, while contemporary artists such as Sean Paul, Beenie Man, and Popcaan helped it achieve international recognition.

Dancehall is characterized by its raw energy and festive roots, but it also reflects Jamaican social realities. Each vinyl offers a condensed intensity, with catchy choruses and productions made for live performances.
