Fire House Rock

Description

Recorded at Channel One studio and released in 1981, "Fire House Rock" is probably one of The Wailing Souls' best albums. Produced by Henry 'Junjo' Lawes and backed by the Roots Radics musicians, it was mixed by Scientist at King Tubby's studio. The Wailing Souls is a Jamaican Reggae group formed in the mid-1960s, consisting of Winston 'Pipe' Matthews, Lloyd 'Bread' McDonald, George 'Buddy' Haye, and Rudolph 'Garth' Dennis. Often compared to Bob Marley, Pipe Matthews' voice has made this group, nominated 8 times for Grammy Awards, one of the most recognized in Roots Reggae.
