Trentemoller is not a Danish like the others. Present on the electro scene for 15 years, first by touring extensively with the house combo Trigbag. But it is his solo work that has revealed him well beyond the dance audience with a flagship track like 'la champagne' and his remixes of artists like Sharon Philipps that have established him as a leading artist. The common thread of his career, this renowned Scandinavian spleen, is obviously found here through the essential Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, This Mortal Coil, but it is less the journey that matters than the nocturnal aesthetic of the misty and cold halo, dear to the tradition of Late Night Tales, magnified here by the cover of Blue Hotel (Chris Isaak) sung by his compatriots Marie Fisker and Steen Jorgensen.
