Compilation remastered, including a new booklet with sleeve notes and unreleased photos. Kevin Howlett and Mike Heatley wrote additional historical notes. Allan Rouse and Kevin Howlett wrote additional notes regarding the recordings. Combines the compilations Past Masters Volume 1 & 2. Remastered by a team of highly dedicated engineers (Guy Massey, Steve Rooke, and Sam Okell, with Paul Hicks and Sean Magee), at Abbey Road Studios in London, over a period of four years. They combined the most advanced sound techniques of the time with vintage studio equipment, in order to preserve the authenticity and integrity of the original analog recordings. At the end of this meticulous process, the catalog has never been so faithful to the original records. (Note: this information concerns Past Master 1, but this box set does indeed contain Past Masters 1 and 2).
