It took ten years to see the release of volume 2 of the Beatles recordings made at the BBC between 1963 and 1964. In total, 63 recordings, all different from those of the first volume: 37 unreleased live tracks accompanied by 23 interviews and other sound documents. It was in the BBC studios that these recordings were made during various radio shows. On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2 is a unique opportunity to rediscover or discover the sound of the Beatles playing for their audience. Delighted to hear these wonderful recordings again, Paul McCartney said: "There was a lot of energy and spirit. This volume 2 On Air - Live at the BBC includes different versions of six rarities present on volume 1 from 1994: Lucille (by Little Richard), Memphis, Tennessee (Chuck Berry), The Hippy Hippy Shake (Chan Romero), I Got A Woman (Ray Charles), Glad All Over and Sure To Fall (both by Carl Perkins). On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2 also includes 30 hits from the Beatles' catalog, including five number 1s and major hits like I Saw Her Standing There, Twist And Shout, Do You Want To Know A Secret, Boys, Please Mister Postman, Money, And I Love Her and If I Fell.
