Produced by Jeremy Ferguson and recorded at the Grammy-winning Nashville indie-rock producer's Battle Tapes Recording studio, the album boasts a spacious, clear sound, fitting for a collection of shimmering, skillful songs with non-narrative lyrics drawn from the mystical recesses of the subconscious mind. The lyrics come from his own experience, explains Cullum.
