Originally released on October 22, 2001, M-16 is Sodom's 10th studio album, recorded at Spiderhouse Studios in the summer of 2001. M-16 is a concept album that makes us reflect on the cruelties of the Vietnam War; indeed, the record takes its name from the American M-16 assault rifle. The songs "M-16", "Napalm in the Morning" and "Among the Weirdcong" are the hardest and most powerful on the album. All the songs were written by Tom Angelripper in tribute to all victims of the war. M-16 celebrates its 20th anniversary and for the occasion is re-released for the first time as a fully remastered audio. The re-release consists of 3 different editions: - a CD Mediabook which includes a selection of unreleased images and two unreleased live versions from 200, - a double vinyl version re-released in orange with unreleased images and - a 4LP box set containing the original remastered album with 2 bonus tracks, 2 LPs of add-ons with unreleased live versions, a USB audio key, a cover poster, a Sodom band medal and a 44-page booklet with unreleased photos and informative notes.
