'Lovedrive' marked the beginning of a new era in Scorpions history. Guitarist Uli Jon Roth had finally left the band in 1978 after the first tour of Japan. The new man, Matthias Jabs, also came from Hanover and Michael Schenker also joined the band in the studio. He contributed to the solo parts on the tracks "Lovedrive", "Another Piece of Meat" and "Coast To Coast". In the end, there was a studio album on which three exceptional guitarists played a role. The result was all the more breathtaking. LOVEDRIVE is the Scorpions' first post-Uli Jon Roth classic, and it already displays all the characteristics that would define their music for decades to come: an almost perfect blend of beautiful ballads, fantastic songwriting, powerful, aggressive riffs and powerful grooves… On 'Lovedrive', there are songs like "Holiday", which are popular with the public and are part of every concert to this day. It was the first Scorpions album to enter the top 100 of the American Billboard chart (No. 55). 'Lovedrive' is now released on 180g transparent red vinyl. In addition to 'Lovedrive', 'Fly To The Rainbow', 'In Trance', 'Virgin Killer', 'Humanity - Hour 1', 'Taken By Force', 'Blackout', 'Savage Amusement', 'Tokyo Tapes', 'World Wide Live', 'Animal Magnetism' and 'Love At First Sting' will also be released in new colored vinyl versions.
