Love At First Sting

Description

After the great success of 'Blackout' and tours across Europe, Asia and America, the Scorpions entered the studio in spring 1983 to begin recording 'Love At First Sting'. The goal from the start was to surpass the success of 'Blackout'. They succeeded, as 'Love At First Sting' became the most successful album in the band's long career and spawned classics such as "Still Loving You", "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "Big City Nights", which are still highlights of every Scorpions concert today. With "Still Loving You", they solidified their reputation as masters of the soulful rock ballad and sold over two million singles in France alone. "Rock You Like A Hurricane" is, along with "The Zoo", the most played live song by the Scorpions and features monster riffs, combined with complex guitar playing and Klaus Meine's incomparable voice. The iconic cover photo of the embracing couple and the black and white band photo released in the US were taken by iconic photographer Helmut Newton. The album entered the top 10 in many countries and climbed to number 6 on the Billboard charts in the US. 'Love At First Sting' is now released on 180 gr. silver-colored vinyl. In addition to 'Love At First Sting', 'Fly To The Rainbow', 'Tokyo Tapes', 'In Trance', 'Virgin Killer', 'Humanity - Hour 1', 'Savage Amusement', 'Blackout', 'Taken By Force', 'World Wide Live', 'Animal Magnetism' and 'Lovedrive' will also be released in new colored vinyl versions.
