Music creation had always been a positive outlet during difficult times, but it had eventually become a source of absolute distress.Riderless Horse documents the mourning of Kennan, but it also marks moments of emancipation and a real joy in discovering her own abilities. Steve Albini produced this record with Nina, and Greg Norman assisted them. It was the ideal environment to work on this record. They shared meals, cried, laughed, and told stories together. This made her realize how much she loved writing, playing, and recording music. Sometimes terrible things happen. So, what to do - learn something useful, connect with people, move, remember humor, find humor, tell the truth, and make a record. That's what Nina Nastasia did.
