L.A. Witch has always exuded an aura of effortless cool, from the dark Americana and laconic rock'n'roll of their self-titled debut to the stark, scorching adventurism of their second record, *Play With Fire*. The band — comprised of Sade Sanchez (guitar/vocals), Irita Pai (bass), and Ellie English (drums) — started informally, but the smoldering, reverb-drenched tunes they created captivated audiences, pushing the project from the insular space of the band's friends and peers in Southern California to the wider world.
