L.A. Witch has always exuded an aura of effortless cool, from the dark Americana and laconic rock'n'roll of their self-titled debut to the austere, scorching adventurousness of their second, *Play With Fire*. The band – comprised of Sade Sanchez (guitar/vocals), Irita Pai (bass), and Ellie English (drums) – began informally, but the smoldering, spellbinding songs cloaked in reverb they created captivated audiences, moving the project from the insular space of the band's friends and peers in Southern California to the wider world.
