King Tubby's Hometown Hi-Fi was one of the greatest Sound Systems in Jamaica. It was also an excellent platform for the Dub Plate Specials cut at Tubby's studio, which were played exclusively on his soundsystem. The tracks of the era were mainly cut on rhythms from producer Bunny 'Striker' Lee, which Bunny stored in Tubby's studio. Jamaican Recordings has compiled a selection of tracks that were all tried and tested on Tubby's Hi-Fi Soundsystem. Many of these exclusive Dub Plates were unreleased until now.
