Karl Hector is the alias of German producer and guitarist JJ Whitefield, the visionary behind Poets of Rhythm and The Whitefield Brothers, bands whose raw analog sound and return to late sixties and early seventies funk archetypes paved the way for labels such as Daptone, Truth & Soul and Timmion.
