KARL BARTOS is one of the 4 legendary members of KRAFTWERK and most of the melodies and rhythms of the cult quartet were composed and recorded in his home studio. He contributed enormously to THE MAN-MACHINE (1978) and COMPUTER WORLD (1981), which paved the way for classic tracks like THE MODEL (1982) and The Robots, Metropolis, Neon Lights, Numbers, Pocket Calculator, Home Computer, Tour de France, Musique Non-Stop + The Telephone Call. KARL BARTOS left the group in 1990 and embarked on a solo career with the ELECTRIC MUSIC project, and set up parallel projects with BERNARD SUMNER (NEW ORDER), JOHNNY MARR (THE SMITHS) and ANDY McCLUSKEY (OMD). OFF THE RECORDS is his first solo album in over 15 years!
