The album's ten tracks include seven new original compositions by Ross as well as pieces by John Coltrane ("Equinox" and "Central Park West") and Thelonious Monk ("Evidence"), most of which are performed as spontaneous suites, with the band moving fluidly through blues-drenched musical terrain.
