A wind of "freak country" blows over New Orleans. When she was only 17, Alynda Lee Segarra left her native Bronx and hit the road. Buses, trains, hitchhiking... a whole year exploring rural America that would lead her to New Orleans, and its French Quarter bordering the Mississippi. There she met the Dead Man Street Orchestra, with whom she cut her teeth in bars all over America. Having gained some self-confidence, she now writes her own lyrics and formed Hurray For The Riff Raff, a band largely influenced by Alynda's travels, giving depth, richness and emotion to her lyrics. This group of outsiders lives only on the road. Constantly touring the United States, they charm their audiences across the country with their authenticity and originality.
