Hurray for the Riff Raff's (aka Alynda Segarra) debut Nonesuch album, "Life on Earth," is a new beginning for the singer-songwriter. Her 11 new “nature punk” tracks about survival are music for the end of time — songs for a planet in crisis, meant to thrive, not just survive. The album, recorded during the pandemic with producer Brad Cook (Waxahatchee, Bon Iver, Kevin Morby), will be released on February 18, 2022. Its first single, "RHODODENDRON," is "about the punk rock attitude of nature and plants…getting into the dirt and being with oneself," says Segarra, who drew inspiration from The Clash, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Bad Bunny, and the documentary "Blank City" to create "Life on Earth."
