Description

Galibot is a melodic black metal group, but it is also the name given to children sent to work in the mines of northern France. And for good reason, the quintet hails from that region. In early 2026, the group released an alternative version of its first album, titled "Euch'Mau Noir bis", under the label Les Acteurs de l'Ombre Productions. Initiated in 2023 by Thomas, Agathe, and Clément, this project, initially a studio endeavor, aims to draw a parallel between the dark and visceral substance that is coal and black metal music. Wallers-Arenberg, the name of the town where the project was born and which bears the scars of the mining industry, served as a demo for what was still a trio. Following the release of their first album, "Euch'Mau Noir", Galibot decided to venture into live performances, and Julian and Rob joined the group. This collaboration ultimately led them to write their second album together, this time as a quintet, which will be released next May under Les Acteurs de l'Ombre Productions.
