Galibot is a melodic black metal band, but it's also the name given to children sent to work in the mines of northern France. And for good reason, the quintet hails from this region. In early 2026, the band released an alternative version of their first album, titled "Euch'Mau Noir bis," under the aegis of Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions. Initiated in 2023 by Thomas, Agathe, and Clément, this project, originally a studio project, aims to draw a parallel between the dark and visceral substance of coal and black metal music. Wallers-Arenberg, the name of the town where the project was born and which bears the scars of the mining industry, served as a demo for what was then only a trio. Following the release of their first album, "Euch'Mau Noir," Galibot decided to embark on live performances, and Julian and Rob joined the band. This collaboration ultimately led them to write their second album together, this time as a quintet, which will be released next May by Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions. Galibot will also be touring to offer a cavernous live experience of fire and ashes.
