Ritmo Caliente

Description

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Cal Tjader became one of the most celebrated non-Latin American Latin musicians, exploring diverse jazz styles while remaining faithful to the music of Cuba, the Caribbean, and Latin America. A talented vibraphonist, he also played percussion and piano, collaborating with many artists from different cultures. In 1954, he formed The Cal Tjader Modern Mambo Sextet in San Francisco, with several albums quickly recorded for Fantasy Records. Ritmo Caliente (1954-55) is one of their best. Full album + 4 bonus tracks - 180g virgin vinyl - limited edition.
