Amazonas

Description

A pioneer of Latin jazz, vibraphonist Cal Tjader helped popularize the genre with the general public beginning in the mid-1950s. Released in 1976, Amazonas bridges Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro by connecting jazz-fusion with Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music under the guidance of producer Airto Moreira, George Duke's lush arrangements, and Hermeto Pascoal's notable participation. 180 gm reissue, from original master tapes, tip-on sleeve.
