Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Cal Tjader became the most recognized Latin musician of non-Latin descent. While exploring various jazz styles, he remained faithful to Cuban and Caribbean rhythms. Primarily a vibraphonist, he also mastered drums, bongos, congas, timbales, and piano, collaborating with artists from diverse backgrounds. Demasiado Caliente (1960) is among his best albums, presented here in a limited edition of 500 copies.
